I’m starting to think the negative response to the logo might have been intentional. Or is it just my devious mind? I wouldn’t put anything past those marketing types. Nah….they can’t be that clever.
If we were talking about American marketing tactics savannah I might agree. I’m not sure the great British public is quite ready to swallow anything just yet….but standards have been slipping lately so maybe they are.<br/><br/>I’ll get this post phrased just right in a minute.
Ister – yes – it’s sort of the same as the other one but just spells it out a bit better<br/><br/>Rivergirlie – I’m almost coming round to thinking it’s so crap – it may well be good<br/><br/>Urban Chook – glad you like it!<br/><br/>Great She – thank you ;-)<br/><br/>Realdoc – yes Realdoc – it does say shit<br/><br/>Dickley – I am sure you are right<br/>Any backlash works well eventually – I mean – look at Kate Moss – no doubt Paris Hilton will be making another fortune shortly<br/><br/>Savmarshmallow Lady – well, yes, I guess bit rather annoying seeing as it so cheap and nasty and crap!<br/><br/>Dickley – as I said – spit it out.
Yes well…I didn’t want to get involved in a discussion about comparative marketing techniques. My point was that controversy always seems to work. There, that’s out.
On a vaguely serious note, did anyone hear Denise Lewis’ speech at the launch of the ‘logo’?<br/>She said something like:<br/>"this is not a logo, more than marketing brand, it’s a state of mind."<br/>Well I’m sorry Denise, you’ve got nice abs, can run and jump and stuff, but I ain’t got a clue what you’re talking abart…
This is an improvement. Much better. I can identify with that.

now that really reflects London and its brand values. Much better.
Is it just me or does it say shit?
Oops,Silly me. It does say shit. (I have just put my glasses on.)

Dickley – well done. I was going to say something about spitting rather than swallowing but perhaps I’ll just stop right there.
Best not to get Dick to spit it out, it’s very impolite to do such a thing.
