I Am Common As Muck

April 5, 2008

Yes – I am temporarily relieving my controlled love of gambling by rather commonly dragging my six year old to the bookies – our annual jaunt to place bets on horses! So exciting. My general tip: Irish trainers – you can’t go wrong.

We are betting on:
Comply Or Die or Slim Pickings
Dun Doire
Kelami
Butlers Cabin

My tips for good e/w outsiders are:
Idle Talk
Point Barrow
Cornish Sett
Simon
Madison De Berlais

The going is currently dry – should this change I will be adjusting my bets.

Current favourites are:
Hedgehunter
Snowy Morning
Slim Pickings

Place your bets.

UPDATE:
HURRAY! We got 1st and 4th place – £48!

A bunch of knackers them irish, but they know their horses no doubt- though, I can’t say the same except when they throw you the ground is hard.Likeeeeeee: What did the man say who fell off the train? (I told this a million times- forgive me)<br/>He said: it was a hard station.

  3. Bob Stock eh? You’re probably safe with him. If you see Bob Swipe don’t chance it.

I picked a bunch of no hope 100-1 losers all with musical titles such as Tumbling Dice and Backbeat etc. I might well be as common as muck but also I’m a skint mug punter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You wouldn’t have thought a horse called Slim Pickens would have come close to winning.

I once won a tenner in the office sweepstake on the National … and had to spend most of it on the celebratory tin of QUality Street!

I’m very handy to have around. If you see me betting on anything, AVOID DOING THE SAME. in face, move to another town and change your name. my gambling mojo is all black.
