There has been a lot of talk of blogging ennui of late here here and here especially. I found this picture today while actually searching for a person believe it or not. I guess this is what non-bloggers do in their spare time? It is a penny pyramid. A pyramid. Made out of pennies. Pennies painstakingly piled up to form a perfect pyramid. I have to say that would send my ocd tendencies raging. Quite frankly I would rather be blogging about drivel than aligning the 8,500th penny stack while straining my elasticated waistband crimplene trousers. For some reason I assume people who make pyramids out of pennies wear hideous man-made fibre garments. Think of the static with that Axminster. Ouch!
Bored? At a loose end – just go here – drivetime ennui chez Rockmother .From → Uncategorized
What person? Was her name Penny, maybe? <br/><br/>I like the way you sneaked in your new podcast – almost missed it there. <br/><br/>Hurrah! New music! I raise a slice of coconut cake to you, my dear.
eh? Is this number 17, or am I losing my marbles?
Annie’s Got A New T-shirt – oh – that would be telling. It is a new podcast – well, not that new – I did it about 10 days ago. Now I’m losing my marbles – no – it’s not new – the german song scared you remember? I was just shamlessly promoting myself in the name of ennui x
I don’t know, I rather like the penny pyramid, even the name resounds like a mantra: <br/>"A penny pyramid painstakingly piled"<br/>The ennui mantra<br/>"Let’s talk it out across the table<br/>Make sure that we leave nothin’ out<br/>Get into it like a meditation<br/>Start checkin’ it out<br/>Takin’ it further<br/>Takin’ it further<br/>Checkin’ it out."
If they presented that as modern art they’d be coining it in.
I’ve noticed a few other bloggers to posting similar blogger fatigue/erraticism posts. <br/><br/>Me, I can’t switch off. I wish I could, but my brains like a Pop-A-Point pencil. Everytime a blog bits done and dusted some other piece of puffery pops out ready to stick in my cyberspace scrapbook .
Momo Madster – aaah..lovely Van – from one of my favourite albums..<br/><br/>Checkin it out, now baby<br/>Checkin it out checkin it out<br/>You meditate, you meditate<br/>You meditate<br/>And you come back<br/>You come back<br/><br/>Geoffster – yes – they would be raking it in like one of those big machines you see at the seaside!<br/><br/>Planet Mondo Bongo – Pop A Point pencil – that was such a good invention – I might have to blog about it – you see – more puffery everywhere!
I just want to push the pennies on the floor. Nihilism rules.<br/><br/>No OCD for me. <br/><br/>Apart from I can’t wear an un-ironed shirt and… No. That’s about it. Phew.
Now that’s what I call ennui. Makes mine look like blogger’s itch.
L E B – I agree – anarchy in the suburbs – I would like to jump onto the penny pyramid and revel in all the tinkling noise it would make as it collapsed – after I had aligned them all properly as some of them aren’t quite right if you ask me.<br/><br/>Dickley – yes – blogczema x
I’d rather pile up the pennies in a savings account to earn some interest.
Can’t see the cents in it myself.
